NICBASE Online is not the biggest database around and for good reason! We are very selective regarding the input of games. Our aim is quality and not quantity.
We exclude short, uneventful or pre-arranged draws and wins by default. Furthermore we make a careful selection of games played between computers, games played on the Internet and games played in minor or junior events.
This does not mean that our Database is perfect already. That's why we call for your help!
We would appreciate it if you check all data concerning your own games and provide us with missing information or correct erroneous information about yourself and/or your opponents (surnames, dates of birth, nationality). The same applies to missing pictures. Here, too, your help is most welcome.
In the year of birth and death you will come across the date January 1st (01-01) relatively frequently. In the majority of cases this means that only the year of birth or death is known to us and not the precise date.
